Each year the City Council holds a State of the City event at which city wide issues are discussed and debated. This year in addition to this council is this year holding a number of local events giving residents the opportunity to ask questions about issues specific to their area.
Millfield is part of Sunderland East where the event will be held on Monday 11th June at Ryhope Community Centre. Pallion and Barnes fall under Sunderland West which is holding an event on Tuesday 12th June at Silksworth Youth and Community Centre. For both, arrival is at 5.30 and the event will be between 6 and 8pm.
Planning ahead, this years State of the City debate is on Wednesday 12th September at the University of Sunderland Chester Road campus.
